According to the American Dental Association, brushing twice a day, for two minutes each time is key. Morning brushing eliminates morning breath, evening brushing removes sugar bugs to set your child up for better oral health throughout the night. Flossing daily is also important to establish early on. Don’t worry about perfection – creating the habit is what counts. Be sure to switch out your child’s toothbrush every three to four months, or sooner if there are signs of wear. If you’re having trouble developing good habits, don’t hesitate to contact us for guidance during your child’s preventative exam.
Let’s work together to keep your child’s smile healthy and happy!
